About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Drafter to join our team. The position of Drafting Technician was established for the purpose of supporting the production department with the planning and construction process of the home with drafting and design duties. Applicant must have HOUSE DRAFTING EXPERIENCE. Compensation will be based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the operations manager to update redlines, adjust, and revise new and existing construction plans as requested.
- Perform drafting & design duties in AutoCAD.
- Allocates model plans with site plans.
- Responsible for sending submittals for permits and tracking comments and corrections.
- Responsible for submittals of trusses requests to a lumber company for design estimates and ensuring return in a timely manner and disbursing them accordingly.
- Responsible for submittals of foundation for post tension designs and ensuring return in a timely manner and disbursing them accordingly.
- Responsible for sending plan packages to banks for construction loans.
- Responsible for plan renderings as needed.
- Works closely with the operations manager to update and organize the company’s master plans.
- Revising and updating the Plan directory.
- Responsible for requesting copies of plans to a printing company and disbursing them accordingly.
- Create/update specification tables in plans.
